7.00 (above average) better than expected. great story with so many anime in the series, spin-offs, ovas and manga etc. .hack series evolved with a game named "the world" is fascinating. sound effects, songs are well written and performed. songs in particular are matching and set the tone of this great series. seiyuu a bit letdown though with no extra value added into characters.

5.00 (moderate) do not understand all the fightings and relationships between characters. Probably tried to squeeze in too many ideas and stories into a rather short season. If it run for several seasons would be better.

8.00 (good) topic is innovative as well as educational. it's light and filled with fun. it's designed and targetted to otaku of various degree to get a life other than 2D world. artworks bit cheap production but storyline more than made up for it. music great. seiyuu cast strong and solid performance, in particular the main male voice.

4.00 (below average) manga definitely better. but then it's a bit old this anime, memories are fading. yet this maybe interpreted as anime isn't impressive nor was it exciting. manga version is not all great either. story lingers on towards the end.

7.00 (above average) better than first thought. simple everyday school life stories but with a touch of warmth in them. having a younger grade character together with higher grades friends, diffienates itself among mainstream. character-wise, lots of potential for developments. the apperance of character toru resembles very much like character from mitsudomoe. seiyuu for these characters are well selected and gave strong performance. enjoyable work of anime.

A Little Snow Fairy Sugar

6.75 (above average) storyline predictable. long long ago anime. cute characters. settings and background European style. very popular among anime of that era. conceptually interesting with weather fairies learning the way of becoming a great weather fairy.

7.50 (good) a story about lots of settings and background explanation. main male lead seiyuu better than expected. others bit weak.

Ai Yori Aoshi

7.00 (above average) relationships rather well presented but falls into the category of one male several female surrounding scenes. suppose anime is to fullfil things that you don't get in reality. hence, the main female lead being portraited as dedicated all her life to the main male lead. found the male lead pretty selfish vs. female lead.

9.00 (very good) family bonds is moving and touching especially towards the end. Although still don't understand what really happened to the main female lead. Was it entirely due to the curse her previous life endured? Why did the main male lead turned into anything but a crow? Find all very weird.

8.25 (good) visually pleasing, female leads cute at its time. character of iori complex and sensitive. the most noteable character. a realistic story with a bunch of well developed characters made it all more easily to relate to. artworks as usual great and high quality. fan service seems excessive at times.

6.00 (average) a bit too bloody for my liking. apart from bloody scenes towards the end. not really grasped what had happened. how it happened and why it happened the way it is.

Last Updated: Apr 10, 2011

9.50 (excellent) Better than first thought. Various love stories. Performance of seiyuu adds a lot more color in this anime. episode 25 is pretty damn good. guess this anime fullfills many people, i know it did to me, fantasy in relationships with higher grade, lower grade or same grade girlfriends. it related a lot to reality. kimi kiss is the same type as amagami. both very well done, but amagami slightly edge ahead thanks to its various laugh gags.

8.50 (very good) as usual, high quality production. story-wise, interesting with the way it all unfolded but still number of questions remain with me. who was playing god in that world? how did they develop their weapons/skills etc.? apart from the reasons of fightings, is enjoyable and reasonable to watch. story about the main male lead is quite touching. ending is great, the highest point in anime. the occassion laugh points throughout anime are very entertaining.

Ano Natsu de Matteru

7.00 (above average) extremely similar to Onegai series... in fact, think it advertised using bits of Onegai tricks... deceiving. artworks and the relationships between characters, again very Onegai., esp. Remon voiced by Tamura-san... story progress much like Anohana, but just don't think it's enough to sub-pass the success of Onegai or Anohana.

9.25 (very good) very moving story it seems. the way it unfolds the story is very new to anime, it's used widely in tv drama or in a movie. songs are great, a close match to the anime. characters average. seiyuu pretty good so far. artworks quality high and fills with a nostalgic sadness in the choice of color throughout. high quality anime in recent releases. ending seems to be a bit rush.

Ao no Exorcist

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Oct 10, 2011

8.00 (good) topic about exorcist, watched similar theme from hellsing and trinity blood. this one is filled with a more light-hearted side. comic relief are more easily seen. seiyuu pretty good as anime progresses. love that principal. he's so cool when he is in his 'dog' form. depending on popularity, might have a second season afterwards.

Aoi Bungaku

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Apr 24, 2011

8.00 (good) rather difficult to comprehend some of its topics, probably need to read the original books first to fully appreciate. having said that though, this anime is an odd-man out of the mainstream anime topic. well done in that perspective. another point to highlight is having an real actor introducing the anime intention gives the anime its context and set the overall tone.

10.00 (excellent) appreciation of everyday living and experiencing. would have thought the topic dull but they executed it quite nicely. love the fact that all female characters' name starting with "A". the many scenes in both manga and anime are very scenic. these scenes taught me how to take a well balanced photo and developed my passion with photography. an unexpected outcome from watching anime.

Asobi ni Iku yo

7.00 (above average) Interesting setting, esp. in Okinawa. Yet looks all familiar from Onegai Teacher setting. wish characters are more developed. the main male lead is useless and weak. why do anime almost always match great female characters against insensitive dumbo? the robots are very cute and cuddly. love to own one of them.

9.00 (very good) great fun! story about everyday school life and how characters grow up throughout the time frame in anime. literally no male characters but very enjoyable, won't category it as a girly anime. thanks for the vastly different characters in story. their characteristics are very well highlighted through events and became backbone of laugh points. seiyuu gave solid performance. osaka in particular. very impressive.

Bakuman

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Apr 10, 2011

6.00 (average) points mainly go to its theme as is rather new among animation. charactes bit weak. progress rather slow. story lingers on. manga is better. not enough interaction between male and female characters. those seiyuu for editiors just don't sound quite matching. overall a serious topic with serious performance, not enough laugh point making it bit dull and boring.

Bartender

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Apr 22, 2011

8.00 (good) topic about bartender, the very concept itself is intriguing. a rather informative anime with cocktails mix. would be great for tv drama. the many conversation style rather than our usual adventure, a quest or growing up made this a bit boring and heavy at times. but the use of comic relief and some of the meaningful messages about life itself comes through nicely.

Last Updated: Jan 10, 2012

8.50 (very good) see shadow of various other works in this anime. but the portion being used is just right so far. seiyuu performance pretty good. those voices together with their characters make things just right. interesting mix of characters with the story progress.

Bottle Fairy

7.00 (above average) artwork ok consider it was produced offshore. story first appealing but then got a bit confusing with all the economics terms to play only minor role. theme mainly focused on consuming today's or future's value. ending left opened for audience to be creative about the characters' "future".

Canvas 2: Niji-iro no Sketch

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Apr 10, 2011

7.25 (above average) could be better when presenting relationships. male lead indecisive behaviour a real pain in the arse. many secondary characters should have been developed more and giving them more insights. marriage between cousins sometime consider as taboo in some culture.

8.00 (good) seiyuu for chi a bit disappointing. clamp production as usual tried to give story a certain level of depth and makes one to ponder. i think it's really matter of time when robotics-human to surface the world and become partners of real people. they maybe created to the very liking of one's wants down to the finest details, they are well tamed and they don't aged. how good can that be?

Chrno Crusade

7.50 (good) pretty good but could be better. would like to see more characters development apart from the main. what happened to the sisters? what happened to the nun they rescued at the beginning? felt like there could be a lot more stories to share but was cut short.

9.50 (excellent) the best production by Jun Maeda. story stresses the importance of family ties and bonds. the sad ending is very very moving and touching. the good ending brings back all the happiness in life. love the fact that story goes beyond their school days into marriage life into kid's growing up. feel very complete and satisfying after watching. as if it's a tv drama. a truely masterpiece.

Cube x Cursed x Curious

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Jan 10, 2012

6.75 (above average) the idea of something being cursed and turned into real person with a personality and characteristics is interesting, worthy of a good story. yet, not seeing that happening. the fighting scenes are bit too abrupt and lengthy. seiyuu performance not as good as thought.

7.75 (good) not bad but can be better. although short, it's a complete story. fan service excessive and sometimes unneccesary. believe it would be better without them. but don't mind they are there since artist's hentai artworks quality is indeed very good.
