10.00 (excellent) | appreciation of everyday living and experiencing. would have thought the topic dull but they executed it quite nicely. love the fact that all female characters' name starting with "A". the many scenes in both manga and anime are very scenic. these scenes taught me how to take a well balanced photo and developed my passion with photography. an unexpected outcome from watching anime.

10.00 (excellent) |
The Best. king of all animes. The most memorable to date. Story follows history and then deviated to all creative and
innovative, completely mocking history at times. in fact, it mocks everything from history, politics (old and modern),
other anime or manga, manga artists, seiyuu themselves, the editors and artists behind gintama, everyday events and
anything you may think of. Characters are hailirious. Seiyuu casts very very well done, to the point i want to worship
them.
Highly anticipating Season 2 which is already showing.

10.00 (excellent) | rather deep in content - discussed various issues when taken to extreme. love this concept. characters ok but very cool. love the idea that motobike can talk. overall tone of anime set in greyish color. very different from mainstream.

10.00 (excellent) | interesting view of world. main character has a touch of mysterious. in fact, all about him remained a mystery even after the anime ended. the bit about his past is fascinating. the work he does for a living fascinating. the special relationship he shares with the female recorder a sweet touch. the great friendship he developed with the doctor one of the entertaining moments. the whole concept of the spiritual world that shape our entire planet earth is fascinating. never seen similar before nor since.

10.00 (excellent) | Impressive. Breathtaking. Stunning. Quality of artworks spectacular. Seiyuu cast and performance solid and outstanding. Characters are with depth and developed throughout. Story tends to be a little "dark" but meaningful. Impressed by the way the story is unfolded. Music matches the tone and "dark" image of anime.

9.75 (excellent) | great cinemactic effect. love the songs and sound effects. seiyuu strong performance. this anime is highly re-watchable. love the main's plane. wanted one of that model plane. despite not explaining why porco turned himself to a pig (mentioned but vague), this character was highly developed and so were many others.

9.75 (excellent) | great cinemactic effect. songs great. sound effects as well. story comes with a beginning with a problem and then an end. characters not fully developed but the main lead did show sign of growth towards the end. unlike other mainstream anime where the male lead is usually the useless one, the femle lead of laputa is quite useless and need to be rescued.

9.75 (excellent) | one of my top 10. a story about nothing yet just about everything in life is mentioned. great leading characters. seiyuu absoluately fabulous, much life and emotions come through their voices. the two side-kicks at end of the each episode is another reason why this anime is great. it's like having two anime in one episode. they sometimes interact but maybe view as separate. their concert included a live performance of voicing their own characters. it rocks.

9.75 (excellent) | great cinemactic effect. great characters. they are developed, sign of growth. story with depth. the cutest creature ever created by the Studio. seiyuu very professional and resulted in living characters. despite watching this as a kid myself, story and characters still memorable.

9.75 (excellent) | simply great. just as i thought i knew how the story would end, it turned up to be with a twist. yet everything felt so reasonable and coherent. characters idea pretty good, god, demon, human, and somewhat in between all living under one sky. this also created a trend thereafter. especially love that each character had a darker side which eventually came through and how they overcame their greatest fear. the fact that our main male lead also was a part of the darker history made it all more dramatic.

9.50 (excellent) | the best production by Jun Maeda. story stresses the importance of family ties and bonds. the sad ending is very very moving and touching. the good ending brings back all the happiness in life. love the fact that story goes beyond their school days into marriage life into kid's growing up. feel very complete and satisfying after watching. as if it's a tv drama. a truely masterpiece.

9.50 (excellent) | great stuff for all 3 seasons although season 1 maybe just a bit standard and boring compared to season 2 and 3. but season 1 is logical and a complete story by its own mean. explained characters and relationships well so that season 2 stories maybe carried out in school background. season 3 arts quality is impressive in its time. the finale ending with main male clearly stating he wanted to be with the main female lead a bit of let down.

9.50 (excellent) | newly turned goddness as a high school student with her own human problems- great idea. cute characters, high standard artworks throughout. sound effects and memorable performance by seiyuu. we see growth in our young goddness. her fellow friends lack a bit development though.

9.50 (excellent) | great stuff in relationships presentation. centre focus and theme comes out nicely. more importantly, the relationships is very human fills with laughter and sadness, dilemma and choices. one of the master pieces of love story.

9.50 (excellent) | visually pleasing, female leads cute. story is creative yet it's actually a simple love story. characters come out strong, established their images well and set the tone for the rest of anime. main male lead strong guy in every aspect yet always stripped away his energy by lilim's kiss.

9.50 (excellent) | love the story setting, so realistic. love the cinematic effect of the anime, so tv drama or even movie like. love the various relationships between and among characters, so touching and warming. love how each character was given attention to develop and share their stories. there aren't many action yet there are a lot going on in each episode.

9.50 (excellent) | Female lead looks all familiar though. Fan service is great, have to admit. Second season equally great. some say the fan services are overrated but i think they are great because of the story setting. our male lead is ecchi to the point of hentai and he didn't try to hide nor he's shameful. in fact, he's so shameless that maybe many of us (guys i refer) share some aspects of him deep inside us. at some stage of the anime, we must have envied even being jealous of him. looking forward to its ova. can't wait.

9.50 (excellent) | Better than first thought. Various love stories. Performance of seiyuu adds a lot more color in this anime. episode 25 is pretty damn good. guess this anime fullfills many people, i know it did to me, fantasy in relationships with higher grade, lower grade or same grade girlfriends. it related a lot to reality. kimi kiss is the same type as amagami. both very well done, but amagami slightly edge ahead thanks to its various laugh gags.

9.50 (excellent) | great plot. managa is brilliant. anime didn't disappoint. arts quality have greatly improved in anime (vs. manga). dont understand why this turned into anime after manga was out there for such long time. best guess is that the story is all too 'advance' in its time for the market. events in story are logical, ask you to think and watch carefully for every detail as they may pop up at the end and prove to be very vital clue for what's going on. the last story with the princess tricking our baka prince into marriage is the epic.

9.50 (excellent) | a very serious topic that has never been properly addressed in anime until now. it's not an easy topic nor is it easy to attract business value. efforts from anime staff and production team behind it encouraging. artworks pretty standard. story well contrast and well told.

9.50 (excellent) | great story. great fighting scenes and flying machines. great politics. great atmosphere created. The two adjournment episodes gave insights into how and why things happened the way as we see it. yet, since there were so many stories in the first season, a mere episode just isnt enough to summerise everything. nevertheless, a good effort to link 1st and 2nd seasons together. music as always fantastics.

9.25 (very good) | love the presentation of relationships. although rather short anime, 6 in total. very well presented and a complete story with a beginning and a logical ending that flows through. characters are all quite well developed. the nurse could have more insights. the ending is a happy ending but with a touch of sorrow in it. again, this could be good tv drama. music deserved some credits. very touching and suitable for story. lovely anime.

9.25 (very good) | relationships rather well presented yet these very relationships tend to be a lingering. our male lead just doesn't have the guts to express until the very end. characters good with personality and are realistic as they all have strengths and weaknesses - like human. songs are pretty good. seiyuu solid performance.

9.25 (very good) | THE anime that converted me to an otaku. great story. great characters. characters are developed and we grew up with them. seiyuu strong and lift the anime to another level. songs are great. remember they were popular in chart for a while. ova equally good. it may seem old style looking back but it's one of the classics and set example for those who followed.

9.25 (very good) | very moving towards the end. but why the hack was she turned into bioweapon in the first place? why human? why a girl? and why her? never mentioned. just forced to take it as it is. main characters are pretty well developed. lots of insights, lots of self reflecting and lots of love is shown between different relationships.

9.25 (very good) | innovative topic for an animation. a story about economics, foregin currency and trading. unlike mainstream anime topics, this one is a nice break from all the usual drama. yet, with such a sophisicated topic demands some specific field of knowledge rendering it hard to comprehend at times. storyline surrounds the main male lead, felt a bit unbalance since there's minimal involvement from the female characters. relationships between two mains are a highlight. how they are prepared to overcome human-god boundary, such a topic has similarily been addressed in Ah My Goddess! Nicely done.

9.25 (very good) | great cinemactic effect, innovative way of unfolding story from the end. but, seems to me the whole story is revealed back to front. ie. the last episode should be the first episode, the second last is the second etc. from the original order, it doesn't make much sense. each episode appears to be inconsistent with the next. all we get to know about are the characters and their characteristics but hard to establish their relationships. i watched again back to front, which made much more sense. songs are great. quality of artwork superb.

9.25 (very good) | very moving story it seems. the way it unfolds the story is very new to anime, it's used widely in tv drama or in a movie. songs are great, a close match to the anime. characters average. seiyuu pretty good so far. artworks quality high and fills with a nostalgic sadness in the choice of color throughout. high quality anime in recent releases. ending seems to be a bit rush.

9.25 (very good) | Season 1 is absoluately eye-opening. So the Japanese does know how to kuso their own historic figures. Their society and traditional culture limited their anime topics until this comes along. It's a challenge to what's widely accepted as boring, unexciting and dull history. It demonstrated that history can be fun and colorful. Although each episode lasts about a minute in average, it brings out the best known characteristics of historic shougans and rulers. Season 2 continues the practice and doesn't disappoint.

9.00 (very good) | family bonds is moving and touching especially towards the end. Although still don't understand what really happened to the main female lead. Was it entirely due to the curse her previous life endured? Why did the main male lead turned into anything but a crow? Find all very weird.

9.00 (very good) | great fun! story about everyday school life and how characters grow up throughout the time frame in anime. literally no male characters but very enjoyable, won't category it as a girly anime. thanks for the vastly different characters in story. their characteristics are very well highlighted through events and became backbone of laugh points. seiyuu gave solid performance. osaka in particular. very impressive.

9.00 (very good) | 50+ episodes plus a movie that follows. Great stuff. story and theme one of its kind. so far, not seen another similar. characters personality great. they are well explained and developed. a complete story that begins with a rather sad reason and ended with passion but positively. seiyuu great performance. the only letdown probably is the core value of its universe not clearly explained.

9.00 (very good) | highly taboo topic - love between siblings. in this case, brother and sister. insights, depth and development in the siblings are detailed and expressed throughout. artworks added to the overall tone and context. seiyuu voiced with precision.

9.00 (very good) | pretty good. environmental theme clear and easily understood. some say this ain't as good as before, i think it's at least equal previous works. artworks smooth and shifted towards more like an anime. characters developed in a rational fashion. felt very complete.

9.00 (very good) | very innovative. having a monk who not even smoke, but also play majong and uses a gun as weapon. this is fantastic! afterall, saiyuki is an imaginery novel. put it into today's context, it'll only make it ever more popular. other characters are also very creative and all come with their distintive personality. characters were shown their depth and developed throughout even for the enemies. love this anime.

9.00 (very good) | better than expected. not your average love story. main three female seiyuu very solid and strong performance, much life and insights were expressed in their artistic use of voice. allowing us to relate to the characters and their hardship they faced in story. our main male lead isn't any typical useless character, which is always a delighted sign of great story. his appearance maybe deceptive as his inner beauty shines and glows. the second male lead is equally important as story evolves. both male characters plus the three female interaction made a classic topic into a brilliant love story.

9.00 (very good) | Great characters. Love the girls. season 2 didn't disappoint, just a bit short for it to be another season. story surrounding grade 6ers. very realistic, very much alive. events and dumb things they did happen in real life. i know i had experienced. seiyuu great work making characters more alive than they are. the eldest sister, despite being nasty to everyone, still shows her caring for her two younger siblings. great stuff.

9.00 (very good) | ova story. great work. songs are lovely by the way. theme surrounding photography. interesting, very. seiyuu performance matching characters and giving them a touch of realistic feeling. overall artwork is outstanding given its only an ova. although story is short, we get to see a complete chapter of the characters' life with a purpose at the beginning and a satisfying ending. feels complete. great job. there's no real male lead but still felt balance thanks for the running theme in story.

9.00 (very good) | story is light and entertaining. seiyuu gave very different performance than other works. Hanazawa-san again noticeable performance, although she's only a side character. artwork above average, not superb in today's standard. but overall fun in story plot and seiyuu performance more than make up the downside. a great story to enjoy among recent works. |
